Privacy Statement

In order to operate, NC3 – the North Cotswold Chamber Choir – needs to gather, store and use certain forms of information about individuals. These can include members, audiences and potential audiences, and other people the group has a relationship with or regularly needs to contact. NC3 has a Data Protection and Data Retention Policy (URL link to document) which formally describes how this data should be collected, stored and used in order to meet NC3 data protection standards and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

What information is collected, used and stored?

NC3 will only collect individual’s personal contact data where lawful and where it is necessary for the legitimate purposes of the group, including:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Postal addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Any other personal information held

When will we use the information we hold about you?

NC3 will only use this information to communicate with individuals about NC3 and the choir’s events.

NC3 will not share this information with any other organisations or use this data for any other purposes. It will not collect or hold any data not necessary for these purposes. It will ensure data is securely held, is accurate and current. It will not keep data any longer than is necessary. 

When NC3 collects, holds and uses an individual’s personal data that individual has the following the rights over that data:

  • Right to be informed
  • Right of access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to object
  • Right to erase

NC3 will regularly collect data from consenting supporters for marketing purposes. It will ensure active and positive consent to use individuals’ data and a clear description of how that data will be used for these purposes. It will provide a means on all marketing communications to ‘unsubscribe’ and withdraw ongoing consent. Data collected and stored by NC3 will be removed upon individual request and is also subject to periodic retention review. No individual’s data will be retained if there is no reason to do so.
